The Victoria Foundation & New Victoria Hospital renew their support for Richmond Rugby Club
The Victoria Foundation is pleased to announce that it has extended its sponsorship of Richmond Rugby Club in conjunction with its associated Charity, The New Victoria Hospital, for a further two years.
The Victoria Foundation is a registered charity based in Richmond transforming lives in the local and wider community. It supports children and young people who suffer from diseases that affect their mobility where financial constraints do not allow the private purchase of mobility aids. In addition, it funds accessible transport to help residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston suffering from any medical condition that renders conventional transport either inaccessible or inappropriate. The charity also supports future generations of NHS doctors by providing grants to medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds during their studies.
New Victoria Hospital is a private hospital and is also a registered charity based in Kingston upon Thames and is a subsidiary of the Victoria Foundation. It is one of the few remaining independent hospitals in the country and has provided a high level of service to the local community for the past sixty years. The hospital has also formed close ties with The Richmond Heavies Foundation in providing screening facilities for Richmond players.
John Hamblin, Chairman of the Victoria Foundation and a Trustee of the Hospital, comments “I am absolutely delighted to be continuing our support for Richmond Rugby Club. Moreover, both our CEO and Founding Trustee Graham Ball and I are proud that The Foundation has supported the less fortunate in our society for over ten years. Together with Richmond Rugby Club we share the common thread of local community-based service in its broader sense. Our hospital has served our community and strived to achieve excellence in health care for many years.”
We wish Richmond every success for the coming season with their return to Championship rugby.
